TERRE CARTUSIAE
APPLE CIDER
The farm on which our Azienda Agricola Terre Cartusiae operates has belonged for several centuries (mid 1500s to the end of 1700s) to the Certosa del Montello.
The Certosa was located in a building complex of incomparable beauty, of almost 8,000 square meters, which was irretrievably lost following its demolition during the 19th century.
Today, the Terre Cartusiae farm wants to refer in part to that long and ancient history, made up of work, tradition, love for nature, innovation.
The company is located in a hilly area, halfway between the Asolo hills and Montello from which you can admire the long expanse of the Venetian Plain, with the Euganean Hills in the background, as well as part of the Venetian pre-Alpine arc, with the Massif of Grappa to close the perspective with its powerful presence.
It is precisely here that peasant families have been working this land for generations to obtain the right to live, as evidenced also by the numerous rental contracts stipulated by the Certosa del Montello with several tenants with now obsolete surnames or still present on site and mentioned by the successive Priori friars at his guide.
The Terre Cartusiae agricultural society today wants to represent this world that has now disappeared and of which several generations of my family of origin have also belonged.
A world aware of the bursting force of nature, of its slow life cycles, of its rules, which must be respected today more than yesterday.
It is for these atavistic reasons that our agricultural company Terre Cartusiae has chosen to produce apples, using the organic method and transforming the “original product” to create greater value, not only economic but also cultural.
In the company today there are about 200 varieties of ancient apples and others more recent.
The Terre Cartusiae agricultural society today wants to represent this world that has now disappeared and of which several generations of my family of origin have also belonged.

With the apples from our farm we produce our cider in three variations: MEDIUM CIDER, SWEET CIDER and LIVELY CIDER.
